Summary of Classes

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are taught at four levels (0-2, 3, 4, and 5). Students are placed into classes based on their tested level of English skills. Classes are taught in English only, with students from various native languages in the same classroom. All classes include reading, writing, speaking, listening, and grammar study and practice. Work and life skills are also an essential part of the curriculum.

Colorado Refugee English as a Second Language (CRESL) classes employ a special curriculum designed for refugees new to the United States. Two levels of CRESL classes are offered. In addition to English skills, students learn about American culture and systems to enable them to achieve greater self-reliance in their newly adopted place of residence.
English Language/Civics classes have been developed to prepare students for their United States citizenship naturalization interview and Civics and English tests. Students practice English skills, learn basic U.S. History and Government, and complete their application for citizenship as a part of this class.

Right to Read School/Office Closure Policy

When Greeley/Evans School District 6 cancels school due to bad weather, Right to Read will also cancel all classes for that day and close its offices.
